Alejo Castro is the fifth generation descendant of renowned coffee pioneers Alejo C. Jimenez and Wilhelm Kahle. Alejo's ancestors planted some of the first specialty coffee plantations in the early 1900s with the aim to produce the best coffee in the world. The mission for the farm is to improve the quality of coffee while making a positive impact on the environment. The highly fertile volcanic soil combined with the mill's impeccable processing methods have produced a history of award-winning coffees in Costa Rica.

Alejo Castro est le descendant de la cinquième génération des pionniers du café renommés Alejo C. Jimenez et Wilhelm Kahle. Les ancêtres d'Alejo ont planté certaines des premières plantations de café de spécialité au début des années 1900 dans le but de produire le meilleur café du monde. La mission de la ferme est d'améliorer la qualité du café tout en ayant un impact positif sur l'environnement. Le sol volcanique très fertile combiné aux méthodes de traitement impeccables du moulin ont produit une histoire de cafés primés au Costa Rica.
