We're thrilled to introduce a long-awaited gem from El Placer Farm, a name synonymous with dedication and innovation in Colombian coffee. Nestled in the heart of Quindio, Colombia, El Placer Farm has been at the forefront of coffee excellence for decades. The farm is celebrated for its commitment to sustainable practices and its pioneering role in experimenting with unique processing techniques that bring out the best in every bean.

This release is a true showcase of the Honey Process—a method that appear between washed processing and natural processes. Orange Crush is from a microlot, meticulously crafted to highlight the farm's mastery of this technique. By leaving just the right amount of mucilage on the beans during drying, this coffee blossoms into a profile that's both fruity and floral, striking the perfect balance between sweetness and complexity.

What sets this coffee apart is the innovative co-fermentation process, skillfully overseen by Sebastian at El Placer. The journey begins with careful selection and classification of the cherries, followed by an anaerobic fermentation using wine yeast for 120 hours. The next stage involves a 72-hour anaerobic fermentation with CO2 injection, enhanced by the addition of dehydrated fruit and fruit glucose. Throughout, pH levels are closely monitored, ensuring consistency and quality. Finally, the coffee is slowly dried in marquesinas at a precise 40 degrees Celsius, locking in its distinctive flavors.

The result? A cup that bursts with a distinct peach flavor, encapsulating the art and science of modern coffee processing. As a microlot, Orange Crush is a testament to the exceptional quality that can be achieved through careful selection and meticulous processing.
