La Esperanza is located in El Coyegual, Guatemala just across the valley from Don Francisco’s family home. Sitting underneath a canopy of shade trees at 1650 MASL, the La Esperanza farm is beautifully manicured, full of lush coffee plants. Francisco began his coffee career when he was only 15 years old when he started to plant his first coffee seeds in a small lot. Over the last 20 years, he has been able to grow his lot sizes and his quality of production, providing for his family, a few of them who provide support around the farm. Don Francisco has spent his lifetime cultivating his beautiful property, producing delicious coffees year after year, and making a life for himself and his family.
