This coffee was hand-picked by our partners at JA Coffee for AeroPress regionals this year, and now we're bringing it home for a limited release.
It comes from Ken Bon in Shekiso, in Ethiopia's Guji zone, where heirloom coffee grows at 1,800–2,150 metres. Ken Bon is run by mother and daughter Aisha and Danya, who work closely with the smallholder farmers around them. They share processing infrastructure with their neighbours and provide training on quality and sustainable practices, so that great coffee lifts the whole community.
Naturally processed, the cup is bright, sweet and generous. Blueberry leads, cashew and cacao fill in underneath, and the body is rich and syrupy. It's a classic Guji natural with real polish.
Tasting Notes: Blueberry · Cashew · Cacao · Syrupy
Details:
- Origin: Shekiso, Guji, Ethiopia
- Producer: Ken Bon (smallholder farmers)
- Altitude: 1,800–2,150 masl
- Varietal: Heirloom

Brewing tip: This coffee was chosen for the AeroPress, so it's a natural place to start. On pour-over, try a V60 at 1:17 to keep the fruit bright and the body syrupy.
